About Us

Barlborough Telecommunications was originally founded by Alan Smith in 1997 as a Telecommunications/IT Consultancy working with large organisations including Post Office, NHS, National and Local Government.

Alan has worked in IT since graduating with an Electrical and Electronic Engineering degree from University of Bradford in 1975. He has worked in many areas of IT, from the installation of telephone and data cabling, through supporting users, to Project Management.

Alan moved to Barlborough in 1986, and is now relaunching Barlborough Telecommunications as a local IT/Telecom support business, for Domestic, Home Office and Small Business users. He is happy to provide help and advice, coaching, fault finding (hardware/software/telecom cabling) and will even install telephone sockets if required.

All work is competitively priced. A maximum price will be agreed before work starts, if problem is not fixed no fee will be payable. No additional charge will be made for support if the same fault reoccurs within six weeks.
